about
e have always been massive fans of Shirley Ellis, so this cover was a no brainer. Although we recorded it in 2001 under the name "Da Muttz", it wasn’t until subsequent mixes in 2003 that this track made it out onto vinyl to become one of our best selling EPs to date.
& of course.. Big kisses, hugs and thank-yous to the original & perennial skee-girl, the wonderful Charlise Rookwood! (who has just this morning joined the cloud!! go follow @charlise-rookwood)

lyrics
"Sooner or later baby, here's a ditty
Say you're gonna have to
get right down to the real nitty gritty
Sooner or later baby, here's a ditty
Say you're gonna have to (x4)
ditty say you're gonna have to
gonna have to
get right down to the real nitty gritty
Now let's get right on down to the nitty gritty
Now one, two nitty gritty
let's get right on down to the nitty gritty
Now one, two nitty gritty
let's get right on down to the nitty gritty
gonna have to
get right down to the real nitty gritty
let's get right on down to the nitty gritty
Now one, two nitty gritty
nitty gritty
let's get right on down to the nitty gritty
Now one, two nitty gritty
gonna have to
get right down to the real nitty gritty
let's get right on down to the nitty gritty
Now one, two nitty gritty
let's get right on down to the nitty gritty"

Almost impossible to pick a favourite from this bunch, they're all so cool. For now, I'm singling out the Kinks one because it's such an original song choice but ask me tomorrow and it'll be a different one! themichaelmoran
