Once we'd discovered that another one of our favourite breakbeats of all time (what's a word for pirate treasure?) was by a crazy Jazz Cat by the name of Jimmy Smith, it was only a matter of time before we disappeared down a rabbit hole and went back though the hammond organ master's back catalogue. We had kittens when we first heard the crazy jazz cat 's cat. The sidewinder groove, the uber dexterity by the undisputed king of organ and the most brash urgent horn section known to man. Wow.
Fun Fact - Although we kept the flavour of the original organ and horn section, we de-wonked the drums, giving the track more of a Drum & Bass groove, a genre begat from the Amen Break, see above. More full circles... And begetting.

The Allergies are one of my favorite music artists, hands down! This inspired funky as can be music is so addictive, be warned. It ranges from funky soul, Northern Soul stylings, 60's styled Motown or Spector, Conscious Hip-Hop, Latin, Gospel, 70's Soul; my favorite is more like my favorite tracks, (plural): Every Trick in the Book & Get Yourself some, not a dud track. Honestly, you won't be disappointed.**DJs & Audiophiles comes on double Orange pressing at 45 RPM for club. Music Junkie 4 Life
